Just a thought

Would any of these belt buckles for a revolver from North American Arms be considered open carry, as long as your shirt was tucked in so it was clearly visible?

Splat!!

Ohio really doesn't clarify the definition of casual view............Here is some wording from Viriginia state law.........That in my opinion would apply here............

Quote:
A weapon shall be deemed to be hidden from common observation when it is observable but is of such deceptive appearance as to disguise the weapon's true nature.

To me the gun would appear to be a decoration only, instead of being a carry weapon.............Matter of opinion, would be great court battle..

Lousy choice for self protection anyhow. Sorry, not trying to be abrasive, but I can only follow the "any gun is better than no gun" theory so far before my BS alarm goes off.

I wasn't thinking for self defense. I was just poking around the internet and came across those, and wondered if it would be considered open or concealed. I have a kimber kpd .40 on order that's going to be my carry gun, either open or concealed.

Okay. Betcha you could ask 10 different prosecutors and get 10 different answers, same with judges.

Btw the Kimber sounds like a good choice. The .40 S&W seems to be a fickle caliber as far as accuracy goes, though, fwiw. What I mean is, for example one pistol of a particular model will like 180 grain fodder, another of the same model won't, even though they have the same barrel length and rifling twist. So you may have to try several things out to find what your new gun prefers.
