Interesting in a few ways. If "Mick" has had all that training, he must not be going to any of the mainstream firearms schools--assuming that the paper correctly reported his use of a small-of-the-back holster. It is widely held that they have no particular advantages, and come with the huge drawback of possibly FUBARing one's spine during a fall to the ground. Also they are somewhat tough for the user to access, and harder to protect from an unauthorized grab attempt.

Also occurs to me that I will likely never open carry to the extent that some of you folks do, or as 'Mick' did. Wise old dude told me years ago that generally it's a BAD thing to find yourself in the newspaper, even under a pseudonym I'd imagine.

Someone close to me always told me not to risk myself to take a stand against something bad or evil because there will be others that will take that stand.

Yes, there will be others to take a stand, but I will be beside them.

There is only one way to get this game going ..........and that is to openly carry your handgun as much as possible to educate the sheep and to condition the LE's...........I respect the opinions of those that chose to give up some liberty in order to feel comfortable when carrying a handgun, but make a determined effort to open carry as much as possible helping those of us that didn't choose that route..................
