Well i guess I will start this one off......lol
I open carry at times like when I get out to pump gas and go in and pay for it I also work in my yard while open carrying.
When The gang and I take the Atv's out I open carry (when its warm out)
and conceal carry when cold.

So I guess you could say I am on the fence I carry both ways and do have a CHl.
I am all for open carry and concealed carry and the reason is some places I go I don't want anyone to know I have it until I need it.

I hope this makes sense.
No LEO encounters and I hope it stays that way.

I also open carry, and yes I have oc'ed in a restaurant, several actually:

    Subway
    Chinese restaurant
    Taco Bell
    Bob Evans
    First Watch

No problems in any. Did have a few people ask me about it, however.

Great to see you registered, Solomon.

I asked about restaurant open carry because that is usually the hump that people have trouble getting over. They open carry on their own property, while camping and doing outdoors activities, and at the gas station, but many have trouble OCing at restaurants and large stores, like grocery stores and department stores.

I agree, larger settings can be more intimidating, but in my experience they can also make it easier.

The fact there are more people is a double-edged sword in terms of having others create a situation. On the one hand, there are more opportunities for you to be "made" and thus have an interaction, but on the other hand people are more aware of others when there are less people. So in smaller settings, people tend to notice other people more, since there are less of them. In that respect, it might even be easier to "blend in" in the large settings.

I have open carried in both settings, including:

Malls
AutoZone
Restaurants
UPS Store
Grocery stores (Biggs, Thriftway [now Kroger])
On sidewalks

Lately, not very often. It had somewhat to do with the colder weather, but also with the comfortability of those I'm with. My dad was with me when I had a run-in with security/LEOs while OC'ing in a mall (was resolved w/o incident), and fears it will happen again.

But I still do occasionally.

Forgot to mention, I've also OC'ed in four different branches of US Bank. No issues in any of them. One had an LEO in it who saw me and he didn't confront me (asked the tellers if everything was OK and they said yes).
